28 Jan 2006 - Deviation work begins

On the 20th October 2005, the work to create a continue route around Brock Meadow commenced.

Here a station will also be constructed, which will enable the railway to run around Brock Meadow during busy events.

Picture reflects the progress as of the date of this new article.
This project was aimed to remove the hazards of running through the New Road Tunnel, but also to remove the delays involved with shunting at Hoyland Down.
